Obituary for Charles O Colpitts

Charles O  Colpitts
Born March 7, 1939, in Pendleton, OR, to parents Lester and Adila Colpitts; died March 17, 2018, at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

Chuck attended Hermiston High School in Oregon before enlisting in the US Air Force in 1956. He earned his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and his master’s degree from the University of Southern California. Chuck served his country for 30 years, retiring as a Major in 1986. After completing a course in landscaping and irrigation, he worked as a gardener for 14 years at the King County South Treatment Plant in Renton, WA.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ron, Jack and Jimmy, and daughter, Kathryn. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Suzanne; daughter Debra; sons Kevin, Eric, Joseph (Jill) and Richard (Nicole); seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Inurnment service with military funeral honors will be scheduled at a later date.
