Obituary for Kathy D Livingston

In loving memory of Kathy Darlene Scott-Livingston who passed peacefully from this life the evening of January 1, 2018. Kathy was one of six children born to Edward and Bernice Scott, Jr. on July 28, 1954 in Columbus, GA.

Kathy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972 and received an Associate of Arts Degree from Western Washington University in 1975.

After college Kathy worked in real estate as well as residential and commercial escrow operation for Chicago Title. Kathy went on to work for the state of Washington as a financial specialist until she retired in 2014 after 21 years of service. Kathy was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her clients. She had an easy smile, a generous, free-from-trouble laugh, and a carefree spirit. Kathy had a big heart and would quickly share her resources with others.

Kathy liked to draw and had an assortment of sketch art. She enjoyed writing, dancing, and spending time with her family – especially her son, Rashad.

Left to mourn Kathy's passing are her parents Edward and Bernice Scott, Jr. of Tacoma, WA. Her son, Rashad August of Tacoma, WA. Five siblings, Eunice E. Bowen of Atlanta, GA., Ernest D. Scott (Ivory) of Converse, TX., Sherri A. Lewis, (Eddie) of Tacoma, WA., Donlisa M. Scott, of Tacoma, WA., and Denise L. Altheimer (Ben) of Tacoma, WA., a host of nieces, nephews, and a multitude of family and friends.
