Obituary for Ruby Maijala
Ruby Froemke Maijala
May 21, 1925-January 22, 2016
Ruby was born in Strathcona, MN with her twin, Ruth. Ruby believed in helping others
and was active in quilting for World Relief and supporting the FISH Food Bank. She is
preceded in death by her husband Edwin Maijala, brother Ferdie Froemke, and twin Ruth
Rantanen. Ruby leaves behind her children, Stewart Maijala (Barb), Janis Larson (John),
Judy Maijala, and Kathy Heltsley (Dan), her 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother and sisters, Virgil and Fern Froemke, Evelyn Helley,
and Harriett Froemke. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28th at 5:00 pm at United Lutheran
Church. 1231 S 76th St Tacoma, WA 98408.
