Mary Geniva Johnson was born to Edger Peterson and Beatrice Yates on October 6th, 1936 in Nacogdoches, Texas and passed away on June 13th, 2016 in Tacoma, Washington.

Mary enjoyed spending time with family/close friends, baking, shopping, reading and listening to music. She loved bright colors, but yellow and red were her favorite. She also loved all sorts of plants and flowers.

Mary leaves behind two half-sisters: Odessa Oden and Theresa Carpenter, two daughters: Ouita Jones and Betty Johnson, seven Grandchildren: Rebecca, Kimberly, Cody, John, Angela, Amanda and Christopher. As well as seven known Great-grandchildren, and many friends/family/extended family.

Mary wished to be cremated, the majority of her ashes will be spread over the top of her deceased Husband’s (Lyod B. Johnson Sr.) grave, located down in Center, Texas. The exact details of when/where/what time her “Celebration of life” will be held will be decided soon.
