Obituary for Mark Dinsmore

Mark Dinsmore
Mark Earl Dinsmore peacefully reached his final destination on May 10, 2016. He was born July 27,

1956 in Seattle, WA to Thomas M. Dinsmore and Diane L. (Taper) Dinsmore.

Mark was a people-person and had more friends than most people will meet in their lifetime. He

started gathering friends on Vashon Island as a child where he learned to sail and love the water. He

continued through school until he graduated at Kentridge High in 1974, as a ring specialist in gymnastics.

After moving to Gig Harbor and marrying his wife Doris in March 1987, he quickly became part of the

community helping his neighbors and being a friend you can always count on for support.

He worked for many years in construction and left reminders of his hard work in various projects around

the Puget Sound area. He was a passionate baseball player, coach and fan who played on many teams

throughout the years. Mark will be remembered as a loyal husband, dedicated father, and proud

grandfather. He loved his family and friends, including his baseball teammates and construction co-

workers.

He leaves behind his wife of nearly 30 years, Doris; children Wendy (Rob) Brunk, Tod (Whitney) Haddow,

Chad (Nikki) Haddow, Molly Haddow, and Marquelle Dinsmore; his grandchildren, who were the light of

his life, Cassie, Jacob, Riley, Bailey, Nation, and Odin; his brothers Dan (Marlene), Ralph (Jane), Scott

(Nancy), and his father, Tom (June) Dinsmore. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Diane, in

January 2016. He will be greatly missed by all, including his beloved dog Bo.

A celebration of Mark’s life and Open House will be held on June 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Sehmel

Homestead Park Pavilion in Gig Harbor, WA.
